Hi Dirk,

I am surprised there are so many typos. Our data came from the same source as the 1980s data which had nowhere near so many small errors. Many thanks for continuing to find and point them out to us.

I have some comments on some of the latest points, the others not mentioned have all been changed in the draft sheets and are now uploaded.

dirkw wrote:1993_0230 Monie Love - Born To Breed
Born To B.R.E.E.D.

Actually Born 2 B.R.E.E.D.

dirkw wrote:1994_0393 Artist missing - Run To You
Roxette

This one is already in the current draft.

dirkw wrote:1998_0180 Massive Attack - Tear Drop
Teardrop

Labelled differently on the cover and the track listing. We'll go with yours, the track listing.

dirkw wrote:1999_0346 Matt Darey presents Mash Up - Liberation (Temptation
Liberation (Temptation - Fy like an eagle)

Actually Liberation - Fly Like An Angel

dirkw wrote:1999_0383 Saltnpepa - The Brick Track Versus Gitty Up
Salt-N-Pepa

Perhaps this one needs a closer look. The girls used both Salt-N-Pepa and Salt 'N' Pepa previously and this time the cover is clearly Saltnpepa ... I think I have the CD, so will dig it out and see what else is shown.

dirkw wrote:1999_0633 Silver Chair - Ana's Song
Silverchair

Silverchair is correct, I've also changed the title to Ana's Song (Open Fire)

dirkw wrote:1990_0604 Shut Up And Dance
and => &

This one is deliberate. We decided from the start to standardize some things, artists will always be & or ft, etc and tracks will always be "And".

All the latest drafts can be found here: http://britburn.co.uk/files/drafts/

Thanks,

Bert

Hello,

1990_0692 The Legend Can You Feel It (Champion Megamix)
1990_0691 The Legend Can You Feel It (Raze Megamix)

In the chart is The Legend mentioned as Champion Legend and in GBHS it is stated under Raze as Championship Legend.
Which is correct?

Hi Dirk,
dirkw wrote:1990_0692 The Legend - Can You Feel It (Champion Megamix)
1990_0691 The Legend - Can You Feel It (Raze Megamix)
In the chart is The Legend mentioned as Champion Legend and in GBHS it is stated under Raze as Championship Legend. Which is correct?

That's a good question!

Firstly, for chart purposes, we are looking at the 7" single, which I don't have a copy of, but the tracklist I have noted for CHAMP 227 is "Legend Can You Feel It / Can You Feel It Raze Mega Mix".

discogs.com provides information for:

the CD Single, CHAMPCD 227 : This confirms "The Legend" and both "Champion Megamix" and "Raze Megamix" on the disc, but only mentions "Can You Feel It" on the cover. It also points to both tracks being the same as only one set of authors is noted but two sets of re-mixers.

the 12", CHAMP 12-227 : This tells us the same as above, but also notes "The Legend" on the label. The discogs notes state that side A is "a mix of various Champion releases from different artists" and side AA is "mix of tracks by Raze" but there is nothing further to confirm this.

So, my short answer to your question is, I'm not 100% sure. I'd like to have the 7" confirm that both tracks are the same or different, and work out where "Can You Feel It" came from. If both tracks are the same song then I believe my original listing is correct.

Any further information would be helpful.

Hello,

u95_0153 Method Man ft Mary J Blige AA I'll Be There For You
u95_0154 Method Man ft Mary J Blige BB You're All I Need To Get By
I think these two are a combined song, according to Discogs there is a single version in Holland with on a side a Puff Daddy mix and on the b-side a Razor Sharp mix

Hello,

u96_1042 Aphex Twin Girl / Boy Warp 1 64 26 okt 1996

According to GBHS the number above should be noted as an EP, although GBHS are stating that this song should not been in the list at all, because it is too long.

Greetings

Hi Dirk,

It's been a while, but I'm currently updating the database to include the additional formats / catalogue numbers for the 1990s, taking into account all your additions and correction. I'm hoping to update and release one spreadsheet per month, starting with 1991 in the next few days.
