Spreadsheet v1.41

Postby kirkm » Fri Jul 19, 2013 3:34 am

Howdy...

A new macro spreadsheet is ready for testing if you'd like to try it out..

http://www.britburn.co.uk/files/spreads ... 1Macro.zip

If no problems will liven up the website link in about a week.

This is the xls version with the following new features:
* Added Filter function to Sheet Music files Resource Count
* Fixed bug that prevented Excel 2007 (and later) from updating Backend comments
* Fixed bug that could crash a new install if Backend Lyrics checkbox in User Config was neither set or unset
* Added 4 digit serial compatibility to years 1987-89
* Added late binding to User-ini file read for Windows 8 compatibility
* Completed 1976 B-Side data
* Completed 1987 Official and Bubbler entries

There is also an xlsm version but please email me for that as there's additional instructions.

Cheers - Kirk

Hi Kirk,

The new spreadsheet works fine on Windows 8, I didn't have to make the amendments that you sent me for the previous version. I also have not had any of the problems on closure that has dogged previous versions. It worked straight out of the box, so far so good.

Thanks a lot,

Glyn

Hi Kirk,

I spoke to soon, the only thing I hadn't tried was the Sheet Music worksheet. This dosen't work at all with a VB error of "Run Time Error 13". If I click debug the following line is highlighted "Lname(0) = "u" & BritDat.Prefix '& BritDat.Offset 'add SM prefix for Caption" in the modPlayer Module.

Cheers

Hi Glyn,

Shock, horror, Houston.... etc!!

It *was* OK - really.

I think I see the problem and you email you the repair, can you apply that and try some more checks. If all is OK I'll promote the version number and get new copies on line.

For anyone else wanting to do the same, PM me for the details. It's a very small change to one line.
If that is all, which a bit a testing will prove.
Cheers - Kirk
