Please advise of any problems. There's a few changes and new stuff that may
need tweaking. http://www.britburn.co.uk/files/ReleaseNotes.html

Hi All,

Treat v9998 as very temporary. I was amazed today when preparing the 1960 B Sides to receive a FAIL on the same file I'd just encoded. This was just impossible.

Many hours later the fault was found! The VB standalone program gets it right, v9998 doesn't but worse, the prgramme making the checksum gets it wrong ! Only one file in about 1000 or more tested has had the problem. That's quite amazing in itself.

The reason is the two Emphasis bits in the FrameHeader. I wasn't checking them as the official spec says:

'The last field is the emphasis field. It is used to 're-equalise' the sound after a Dolby-like noise supression. This is not used and probably never will be.'

Well, no-one told Eddie Cochran that !! :D

All sorted for the next release.
Cheers - Kirk
